Maharashtra partnered with Elon Musk’s Starlink to provide satellite-based internet for government institutions and rural areas under the Digital Maharashtra mission. The LoI, signed on November 5, 2025, focuses on improving connectivity in remote regions like Gadchiroli. Pending DoT approvals, Starlink will set up gateway stations as the state oversees phased rollout for education, healthcare, and disaster response.
