PeakAmp, a pioneering battery circularity startup, has raised Rs 12 crore (around $1.37 million) in a seed funding round led by Caret Capital, with participation from IIM Ahmedabad Ventures, angel investor Basant Sharma, and other prominent cleantech, mining, and recycling investors. The company was founded in 2024 by Vijay Gond and Aditya Sudhanshu, PeakAmp is building India’s first full-stack, tech-enabled platform for lithium-ion battery recycling. The startup manages the complete lifecycle from collection and segregation to second-life repurposing and high-purity material recovery aiming to establish a sustainable circular economy for batteries. The startup has successfully executed pilot programs with leading industry players and is forging partnerships across the battery lifecycle, covering collection, logistics, disassembly, and materials recovery.
“PeakAmp’s scalable, tech-driven model positions them as a key player in India’s journey toward energy independence. Efficient material recovery from batteries will reduce import dependence and strengthen the domestic battery ecosystem,” said Karan Mittal, Managing Partner at Caret Capital. With PeakAmp, we are backing a team solving one of the most urgent challenges: responsible battery disposal and resource recovery.” With this funding, PeakAmp plans to scale operations, deepen partnerships, and accelerate India’s shift toward a sustainable, regenerative battery ecosystem.
