Indian Govt. to introduce AI & CT into the school curriculum, starting in Grade 3

India’s Department of School Education & Literacy will introduce AI and Computational Thinking from Grade 3, starting 2026–27, in line with NEP 2020 and NCF SE 2023. Key agencies (CBSE, NCERT, KVS, NVS) support this “AI for Public Good” plan. Prof. Karthik Raman leads curriculum development; teacher training and resources will be provided. The initiative stresses inclusivity and future-readiness.
