Paytm, one of India’s most trusted payment apps, is set to hire 4,000 employees over the next nine to twelve months while trimming about 1% of its workforce. After its employee count rose from 17,964 in 2022 to 43,960 in 2024, then eased to 39,368 in 2025, this move aims to recalibrate resources and sustain growth.
