The Goa Transport Department has suspended Ola Electric’s trade certificate, halting all new vehicle sales in the state amid mounting customer complaints over poor service and repair delays. Nearly 2,000 Ola scooters remain unrepaired across Goa’s three service centers, with customers reporting vague responses from staff and delayed registration certificates. This move follows a memorandum submitted to the Transport Department and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant by frustrated owners demanding action.
The suspension also includes a block on all Ola Electric registrations on the state’s Vahan portal, effectively preventing new vehicle registrations. Transport officials stated that the suspension is temporary and will be lifted once Ola demonstrates adequate after-sales support infrastructure.
