US court has ordered BYJU’S cofounder Byju Raveendran to pay $1.07 billion following a default judgment. This includes $533 million for alleged fraudulent transfer of BYJU’S Alpha funds and $540.6 million related to Camshaft Capital. Raveendran contests the ruling, citing GLAS Trust’s withdrawn claim and insufficient time to mount a defense, alleging misrepresentation by GLAS and preparing claims of racketeering and obstruction of justice.
