Amazon India said it plans to invest over ₹2,800 crore to strengthen its operations network and scale Amazon Now, its quick commerce service, as competition in fast delivery intensifies in India. The company said the spending will support associate safety, health and financial well-being, while also expanding logistics capacity across the country.
The investment will be used to upgrade fulfilment centres, sortation centres and delivery stations, according to the company. Amazon India said the plan builds on its ₹2,000 crore commitment in 2025, which added 17 fulfilment centres, six sortation centres and 75 last-mile delivery stations.
Amazon said Amazon Now is already operating at a pace of nearly two sites a day and has reached more than 300 micro-fulfilment centres in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai. The company is positioning the service as part of a broader push to improve delivery speeds for customers in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
The latest investment also sits within Amazon’s broader commitment to invest more than $35 billion in India by 2030.
