Chennai-based startup Fabheads which is known for its innovative work in composite manufacturing, has just raised $10 million in a fresh round of funding. The round was a mix of equity and debt, led by Accel, with Trifecta Capital contributing $2.3 million through
venture debt.
This brings Fabheads’ total funding to $13 million so far. Fabheads is building advanced technology that automates the manufacturing of carbon fiber
and other composite parts materials that are super strong yet lightweight. Their tech is already being used in sectors like aerospace, electric vehicles, and drones.
According to co-founder Dhinesh Kanagaraj, the new funds will help the company scale up its manufacturing capabilities, hire more senior leadership, and improve engineering support for clients. They’re also planning to set up a new unit in Bengaluru as part of their next phase of growth.
