Danfoss India, a subsidiary of the Denmark-based Danfoss Group, introduced NeoCharge, a novel industrial refrigeration solution, on Friday. This technology boosts cold room capacity by 50% and cuts energy expenses by up to 20%.
The launch aligns with India’s impressive 89% increase in seafood production over the past decade, reaching 18.4 million tonnes and securing its place as the world’s second-largest seafood producer. Unveiled at the Seafood Expo Bharat 2025, organized by the Marine Products Export Development Authority, NeoCharge is poised to transform industrial refrigeration. Ravichandran Purushothaman, President of Danfoss India, stated that they are proud to support India’s modernization and sustainability efforts through localized manufacturing, reinforcing the ‘Make in India’ initiative. He noted India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision aims to reach 20 million tonnes of seafood production by 2030 and exceed 40 million tonnes by 2047, increasing global seafood export share beyond 8%. These targets necessitate scalable and energy-efficient cold chain infrastructure across the seafood sector. Reliable cold chains are crucial for maintaining product quality and safety as India enhances its global seafood export position. Danfoss India aims to enhance sustainability and efficiency, enabling seafood businesses to scale operations and bolster India’s reputation as a reliable seafood hub.
