HCA Healthcare, a Fortune 100 hospital operator with 191 hospitals across the US and UK, has inaugurated its first Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. The facility, located in HITEC City, will focus on IT, supply chain, HR, finance, and other digital operations to support HCA’s global network. The company plans to invest $75 million by the end of 2025 and scale the workforce to 3,000 employees by 2026.
This move is significant for Hyderabad and the broader healthcare ecosystem for several reasons: Firstly, it reinforces Hyderabad’s position as a global hub for healthcare and life sciences. With over 800 pharma companies and several leading GCCs already present, HCA’s entry adds prestige and signals confidence in the city’s talent pool and infrastructure.
