Republican Senators Steve Daines of Montana and Kevin Cramer of North Dakota are urging President Donald Trump to confront India over steep tariffs on US pulse crops. In a January 16 letter, they asked Trump to prioritize reducing India’s duties, warning that a 30% tariff on yellow peas and high average agricultural tariffs severely disadvantage American farmers.
