Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu has sharply criticized Salesforce, accusing it of using steep discounts to lure customers before raising prices later. His remarks followed a Salesforce ad claiming “40% off to beat Zoho.” Vembu urged buyers to demand standardized multi‑year pricing and warned against such tactics. He also attacked Salesforce’s product strategy, calling it “a garbage bin of acquired enterprise software… held together with bubble gum and duct tape.”
