The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has fined HP India ₹138.85 crore and 21 authorised resellers ₹3.52 crore for bid rigging in GeM tenders. The regulator found that HP India influenced bidding through price coordination and selective approvals, while resellers submitted cover bids to create fake competition. The cases involved PC products and printer consumables between 2017 and 2020. HP received penalty reduction for cooperation.
