Stripe and Advent International have submitted a joint offer worth more than $53 billion to acquire PayPal, valuing the company at $60.50 per share. The proposed deal would combine Stripe’s payment infrastructure with PayPal’s global consumer and merchant network. The offer comes as PayPal faces slower growth and competition in digital payments. The transaction could become a major fintech deal but still requires approval and regulatory review.
