Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram‑1 has completed its maiden test flight “Aagaman”, marking India’s first orbital‑class launch attempt by a private company. The Hyderabad startup launched from Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre, targeting a 450 km orbit at 60° inclination. Designed to carry 350 kg payloads, Vikram‑1 validated propulsion, guidance, and stage separation. Payloads included demos from Grahaa Space, Cosmoserve, DCubed, and Skyroot’s SCOPE, plus micro‑art projects.
