Meta Platforms has hired Alan Dye, the former head of human interface design at Apple, as its new chief design officer starting December 31. Dye, who joined Apple in 2006 and led its design team since 2015, shaped key products like the Vision Pro, iPhone X and Apple Watch, along with major OS and app redesigns, as Meta accelerates its push into AI-powered consumer devices.
