Tata Consultancy Services has signed a multiyear transformation and managed services agreement with Canada Life to modernise the insurer’s IT infrastructure operations across its European businesses. The deal, announced from London and Mumbai on June 8, 2026, is described as a multimillion-euro, AI-powered services transformation partnership aimed at improving resilience and user experience.
Under the agreement, TCS will use its AI and digital capabilities to modernise and manage Canada Life’s data centres, core infrastructure, end-user computing, and software lifecycle management. The programme is intended to strengthen operational resilience, increase automation, and enhance the technology experience for Canada Life’s customers and internal users.
The partnership combines TCS’ technology expertise with Canada Life’s business knowledge to build a foundation for the insurer’s long-term technology modernisation efforts. According to the companies, the initiative is designed to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, performance-driven IT services while helping Canada Life accelerate its technology strategy, scale technology services more effectively, and remain responsive to changing business needs.
Caroline Dibbs, Chief Information & Transformation Officer for Europe at Canada Life, said the collaboration represents the next stage in modernising the technology foundations underpinning the business. She said it was important to choose a partner that understood the firm’s long-term vision and shared its commitment to people and innovation, adding that TCS brings deep technical expertise, strong transformation capabilities and a collaborative approach aligned with Canada Life’s strategy.
Vinay Singhvi, Head of UK & Ireland at TCS, said the selection of TCS as strategic partner for Canada Life’s technology modernisation journey across the UK and Europe is a testament to the company’s leadership in AI-led transformation. He linked the deal to TCS’ broader aspiration to become the world’s largest AI-led technology services company, saying the firm will help Canada Life improve operational efficiency, enhance resilience and create a more agile IT ecosystem to support long-term growth.
As part of the agreement, TCS will build its talent base in infrastructure services across the UK, Ireland, the Isle of Man and Germany, with investments in learning, certifications and career development. TCS noted that it already has a track record of digital transformation work with leading insurance, life and pensions providers in the UK and Europe.
The company said working with Canada Life further strengthens its position as a transformation partner to the banking, financial services and insurance sector, and reinforces its expansion in the UK and Ireland as a strategic hub for delivering high-value, end-to-end services to insurance clients in the region.
