Google Cloud plans to expand its AI data centre network in India as enterprise demand for AI and cloud services grows. CEO Thomas Kurian said the company sees India as a key long-term market and will build on its planned $15 billion, 1GW AI data centre in Visakhapatnam. Google is also working to host Gemini AI models locally to support businesses and meet data residency requirements. The company expects continued AI adoption across industries to drive further investment in the country’s cloud infrastructure.
