Hitachi Energy India will invest ₹2,000 crore in a Large Power Transformer factory at Karjan, Vadodara, one of the biggest recent bets in India’s power equipment sector. Aligned with Atmanirbhar Bharat, the plant targets rising domestic demand, cuts transformer imports, and will serve South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Middle East markets.
