Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Google Cloud have launched a Gemini Experience Center in Kolkata to help consumer businesses adopt agentic artificial intelligence (AI). The new facility will support companies in developing, testing and scaling AI solutions for real-world business use cases.
The Kolkata center is TCS’ eighth Gemini Experience Center globally and its third in India, after Chennai and Bengaluru. The company said it plans to establish 10 Gemini Experience Centers worldwide by the end of 2026, including four in India.
Built on Google Cloud and powered by Google’s Gemini models, the center is designed for businesses in the retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), travel, tourism and hospitality sectors. It provides a space where companies can work with experts, explore AI applications and build solutions that can be deployed at scale.
The center will showcase agentic AI solutions through interactive demonstrations and co-innovation workshops. These solutions cover key business areas such as store operations, supply chain management, omnichannel retail and customer service.
TCS also said it has developed more than 3,000 industry- and context-aware AI agents using Gemini Enterprise. These AI agents are designed for industries including retail, consumer goods, transportation, travel and hospitality.
Shivir Chordia, Director of Partnerships at Google Cloud India, said the new center will help consumer businesses co-create and scale next-generation agentic AI solutions.
Murali Ramanathan, Chief Technology Officer of TCS’ Consumer Business Group, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to helping enterprises move from AI pilot projects to enterprise-scale adoption through its partnership with Google Cloud.
