India’s Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved seven decisions worth ₹2,19,353 crore across semiconductors, electronics, fertilisers and transport. The package includes ₹1,27,500 crore for Semicon 2.0, expected to attract ₹4 lakh crore investment; ₹62,500 crore for MPMS; NIPU-2026 for urea capacity expansion; and Varanasi elevated corridors worth over ₹25,445 crore.
