Apple on Monday announced Apple Business, a new all-in-one enterprise platform that consolidates the company’s business tools into a single system and introduces free mobile device management for organizations worldwide. The platform will be available starting April 14 across more than 200 countries and regions.
The launch marks Apple’s most direct entry into the enterprise services market, positioning it against Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, which charge businesses on a per-user basis. Apple Business offers email, calendar, and device management tools without any subscription fees, extending the company’s ecosystem into workplace productivity.
The unified platform merges three existing services Apple Business Manager, Apple Business Essentials, and Apple Business Connect into one portal designed for device, people, and brand management. Existing customer data will automatically migrate to the new system. Apple Essentials’ mobile device management, previously a paid feature, will now be available at no cost, ending monthly charges for current users after April 14.
A new feature called Blueprints enables IT administrators to preconfigure Apple devices before deployment, allowing for faster setup and easier onboarding. “We’ve unified Apple’s strongest business offerings into one simple, secure platform,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Enterprise and Education Marketing.
Apple Business also introduces built-in email, calendar, and directory services with support for custom domains and up to 500 user accounts per organization. Each account includes 5GB of iCloud storage, with paid upgrades available. The platform supports IMAP and CalDAV, allowing compatibility with non-Apple devices.
The move is seen as an appeal to startups and small businesses not yet committed to Google or Microsoft ecosystems. By offering a free, integrated suite of management and communication tools, Apple is positioning itself as a single-source provider for new companies. The Apple Business app and associated services will require iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26.
