The Indian government approved 17 new projects under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) with an investment of ₹7,172 crore across nine states. These projects aim to produce ₹65,111 crore worth of electronics and create about 11,808 direct jobs. Covering components like optical transceivers, oscillators, PCBs, and camera modules, the initiative strengthens manufacturing, reduces imports, and supports India’s $500 billion electronics goal by 2030–31.
