Anthropic has secured $30 billion in its Series G funding round, catapulting the AI company to a $380 billion post-money valuation. The announcement, made on February 12, underscores the intensifying race among AI developers amid booming enterprise demand.
Singapore’s GIC and Coatue led the round, with co-leads D.E. Shaw Ventures, Dragoneer, Founders Fund, ICONIQ, and MGX. Other key participants included Accel, General Catalyst, Jane Street, Qatar Investment Authority, Microsoft, and NVIDIA. This marks one of the largest private financings in tech history.
The company reported a $14 billion annualized revenue run-rate, reflecting over 10x annual growth for three consecutive years. Enterprise adoption fueled this surge, with 7x growth in customers spending over $100,000 annually and more than 500 clients surpassing $1 million yearly. Eight Fortune 10 companies now rely on Claude.
Proceeds will bolster frontier AI research, infrastructure, and product development. Claude Code, generating $2.5 billion in run-rate revenue, powers 4% of global GitHub commits. The model integrates with AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and Microsoft Azure, targeting enterprise applications in coding, finance, and healthcare.
The funding arrives as Anthropic heightens competition with rivals like OpenAI, capitalizing on Claude’s rapid adoption across sectors.
