Reliance Jio has officially entered the hardware space for home artificial intelligence, unveiling Jio TeleFrame at the company’s 49th Annual General Meeting on June 19, 2026. The telecom operator describes the device as a centralized hub designed to seamlessly manage and integrate all AI agents within a household.
Jio TeleFrame operates as a voice-first agentic AI operating system tailored for families, eliminating the need for users to toggle between separate applications or navigate manual menus. The platform activates through a “Hey Jio” command and integrates a family of context-aware AI agents specializing in care, entertainment, shopping, guest management, and home automation.
The system is designed to learn family routines and personal preferences, enabling it to provide context-specific assistance without requiring explicit commands for every task. For instance, the device can display weather forecasts automatically when children prepare for school, build calendars to remind users of doctor’s appointments, or suggest food dishes based on past choices when an event is being planned.
Privacy and user consent remain central to the announcement. TeleFrame will only act on its assessment of user requests after obtaining explicit permission, and it will facilitate agentic shopping while requiring consent before processing any payments. The platform supports all regional languages in India and will function only with explicit user consent.
The hardware device is a smart screen that can be mounted on a wall and connects to Jio’s AI agent ecosystem with access to cameras, microphones, and sensors to process the surrounding environment. It can control smart home gadgets including television, temperature, and lighting systems.
Jio TeleFrame was announced alongside enhanced Jio Home connectivity packages offering speeds up to 5 Gbps download and 1 Gbps upload, as well as a network-level AI call assistant called Jio Call Agent. Speaking at the AGM, Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash Ambani detailed the company’s broader vision to transform from an app-based service to a personalized Jio AI advisor.
