SEBI has introduced the GARUDA framework to speed up approvals for Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) schemes and reduce compliance requirements. The framework allows self-certification for Accredited Investor-only Schemes and Angel Funds, enabling faster launches. It also shortens approval timelines for specialised schemes and is expected to benefit venture capital, private equity, and angel funds.
