Reliance-backed Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL), in a joint venture with Hassan Allam Construction, has secured a $560 million contract for Egypt’s West Minya Solar Plant. The project will combine 1,000 MWac of solar capacity with a 600 MWh battery storage system, making it one of the region’s largest solar-plus-storage developments.
