Amazon will invest $48 billion in India between 2026 and 2030, including $13 billion to expand AI and cloud infrastructure, strengthening AWS capacity in Mumbai and Hyderabad. CEO Andy Jassy met PM Modi on June 25, stressing alignment with national goals of AI democratization, SME digitization, job creation, and exports. Plans include 20+ new fulfillment centers, 100+ delivery stations, and scaling welfare program Sammaan. Amazon’s cumulative India investments now exceed $88B, supporting 3.8M jobs, $80B exports, and AI education for 4M students by 2030.
