Google Maps Tests Gemini-Powered Food Ordering Feature

Google is testing a Gemini-powered Google Maps feature that could let users order food through voice commands, according to an APK teardown of a recent Android build. The unannounced capability appears to expand Ask Maps from restaurant discovery to completing orders. Support for restaurants, delivery partners, payments, availability, and launch timing remains unclear, and the feature may change or never be released.
