Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated commercial production at CG Semi’s Sanand semiconductor plant, marking India’s third chip facility to begin operations this year. The plant shipped its first batch of chips to Japan, produces one million chips daily, and will expand capacity while supporting global exports and creating up to 10,000 jobs across both facilities in coming years, strengthening India’s semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem significantly overall.
