TCS Adds 14,000 Freshers in FY27 First Quarter

TCS said it onboarded 14,000 campus graduates in Q1 FY27, adding a net 9,279 employees to reach a headcount of 5,93,798. CEO K. Krithivasan noted employment will not decline sharply but evolve toward AI‑native roles like prompt engineering, model training, testing, and lifecycle management. Recruitment is shifting to next‑gen skills from leading universities, supported by experiential learning. TCS had earlier made 25,000 fresher offers, with further hiring tied to demand.
