India is projected to exceed 1.1 billion 5G subscriptions by 2031, reaching 81% penetration, according to Ericsson. With 430 million users already on 5G, rising data consumption, wider coverage and affordable devices are accelerating adoption. Ericsson also expects early 6G commercialization around 2030 in leading global markets.
