Vietnam-based mobility company Green SM has officially entered India with the launch of Green SM Limo, an all-electric taxi service operating in Delhi-NCR. The company launched its operations on World Environment Day, June 5, 2026, marking India as Green SM’s fifth international market after Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The service operates using the VinFast Limo Green, a seven-seater electric sport utility vehicle developed specifically for passenger transportation. The vehicles are equipped with cameras, emergency support buttons, and an in-car monitoring system as part of Green SM’s Secure-to-Safe safety system. Commuters can book rides through the Green SM mobile application, available on both iOS and Google Play, through a hotline, or by hailing vehicles directly in operating areas.
Green SM said it is beginning operations in key areas of the National Capital Region and plans to expand its coverage in phases depending on demand. The company plans to deploy a fleet of around 1,000 vehicles initially, with ambitions to scale to 10,000 to 15,000 vehicles in India by the end of 2026. The service will focus initially on daily commuting, airport transfers, and business travel.
To mark the launch, Green SM is offering a promotional discount from June 5 to June 11, 2026, with savings of up to Rs 250 for app bookings, representing a 50% discount capped at that amount. Fares are estimated at Rs 8 per kilometer with zero surge pricing. The company has announced guaranteed driver earnings of Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000 per month for drivers who meet its requirements.
Green SM, short for Green and Smart Mobility JSC, was founded in 2023 by Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of Vingroup, the parent company of EV manufacturer VinFast. The company operates as a fleet-owned and company-managed model rather than a pure aggregator approach, meaning the cars, drivers, service quality, charging discipline, and vehicle uptime are controlled by the operator. This move brings VinFast EVs to challenge established ride-hailing players including Ola, Uber, and Rapido in India’s electric cab space.
