EPFO will enable instant provident fund withdrawals via UPI apps and ATMs by end‑June 2026, under its EPFO 3.0 digital modernization drive. Developed with NPCI, the system lets subscribers transfer funds directly to linked bank accounts or withdraw using dedicated ATM cards. Members can access up to 75% of EPF balance, with 25% retained as reserve. The upgrade, serving 7.5 crore active subscribers, aims to deliver minute‑level settlements.
