Google has appealed the Delhi High Court’s ruling that held it liable for trademark infringement in the Hindware case over Google Ads. The company argues the judgment departs from established legal precedents and could reduce competition, limit consumer choice, and affect India’s digital advertising industry. The court had ruled that allowing advertisers to bid on Hindware’s trademarked keywords violated the Trade Marks Act, 1999. The appeal is scheduled to be heard by a division bench of the Delhi High Court on July 10.
