Netradyne has partnered with Australian fleet technology company Geosecure to expand its presence in Australia. As part of the partnership, Geosecure will bring Netradyne’s AI-powered Driver-i platform to commercial fleets across the country through its local customer network and market expertise.
The collaboration aims to help fleet operators improve road safety by providing AI-powered tools that monitor driver behaviour in real time while also supporting better fleet performance.
Founded in 2015, Netradyne is headquartered in San Diego and has offices in San Francisco, Nashville, the Netherlands, and Bengaluru. The company develops AI-powered fleet safety and performance solutions that help businesses improve driver safety, fleet performance, and overall operational efficiency.
Geosecure is an Australian fleet technology specialist headquartered on the Sunshine Coast. Through the partnership, the company will use its local market expertise and customer network to make Netradyne’s Driver-i platform available to commercial fleets across Australia.
AI Platform to Support Safer Driving
Driver-i uses artificial intelligence to monitor an entire journey and alerts drivers in real time about risky behaviours such as speeding, tailgating, and distracted driving before an incident occurs. The platform also includes the DriverStars programme, which encourages safe driving by recognising and rewarding good driving habits instead of only highlighting violations.
According to the company, fleets with higher DriverStar activity experience fewer risky driving behaviours, lower accident rates, higher driver engagement, and better retention of their safest drivers.
The platform also offers an optional DMS Sensor that detects early signs of driver fatigue, including microsleeps, changes in blink rate, and eye closure patterns. The feature works even in low-light conditions and when drivers are wearing sunglasses.
According to Australia’s National Road Safety Strategy, driver fatigue contributes to nearly 20% of fatal road crashes in the country. Besides improving safety, the platform also tracks fuel-efficiency metrics such as idling time and mileage, compares drivers with their peers, and uses the same recognition-based approach to encourage more fuel-efficient driving habits.
