Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Communications, and Punjab National Bank (PNB), a leading public sector bank in India, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU. This collaboration aims to bolster PNB’s IT infrastructure, accelerating its technological transformation to provide faster, more reliable, and customer-focused digital services.

The signing took place at TCIL Headquarters in New Delhi, with Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, CMD of TCIL, and Mr. Manish Agrawal, GM of PNB, leading their respective delegations.

According to the MoU, TCIL will offer specialized services in IT consultancy, project management, and the execution of complex technology projects. The goal is to implement secure, robust, and regulatory-compliant solutions that strengthen PNB’s digital framework, enhance operational resilience, and foster innovation in customer service offerings.

TCIL will provide support in areas including RFP lifecycle management, system integration, IT infrastructure rollout, and the deployment of technology that adheres to regulatory standards. TCIL will act either as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) or a Project Implementing Agency (PIA), ensuring alignment with PNB’s technological roadmap and customer-centric objectives.

Sanjeev Kumar, CMD of TCIL, emphasized, “This partnership with Punjab National Bank highlights TCIL’s position as a trusted technology provider. By combining our strengths in IT consultancy, procurement, and turnkey project execution, we aim to enhance PNB’s IT capabilities, delivering increased value to its customer base.”

Mr. Manish Agrawal, GM of PNB, noted, “This alliance with TCIL marks a pivotal moment in PNB’s technological evolution. Leveraging TCIL’s demonstrated proficiency in IT consultancy and project oversight, we are poised to expedite our IT modernization efforts and introduce groundbreaking IT solutions that cater to the changing demands of our customers nationwide. This will help us in creating a more secure, resilient, and customer-focused banking environment.” This collaboration enables PNB to quickly adopt new technologies, ensure operations are secure and compliant, and provide customers with faster, more reliable, digitally-driven banking experiences. This MoU is in line with the Government of India’s Digital India initiative, enhancing confidence in technology-driven financial services and promoting the country’s digital banking advancements.
