Microsoft Launches Its First AI Model Built for Cybersecurity, Introduces Project Perception

Microsoft has launched MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, its first AI model built for cybersecurity, alongside Project Perception, an AI-powered security platform for enterprises. Integrated with MDASH, the model handles around 90% of security tasks and scored 96% on the CyberGym benchmark, while reducing costs by 50%. Project Perception will initially be available through Microsoft Defender.
