Rapido has integrated its standalone food delivery platform Ownly into its main ride-hailing app, allowing users in Bengaluru to order meals alongside booking bike taxis, autos and cabs. The move brings Ownly’s food delivery service to Rapido’s monthly active users through a single app experience.
Ownly is built around a zero-commission model for restaurants. Rapido launched the service in Bengaluru earlier this year and positioned it as a lower-cost alternative to conventional food delivery platforms by charging delivery fees instead of restaurant commissions.
The company said Ownly currently partners with nearly 20,000 restaurants. Rapido is also using its existing rider network for deliveries, a setup that links the food business more closely with its core mobility operations.
The integration appears designed to widen Ownly’s reach without requiring customers to download a separate app.
